Thanks, Hinge

After college, Bailey moved back to his hometown and Courtney coincidentally moved to the area around the same time, renting a house 5 minutes from Bailey's for months before meeting him. Both were on dating apps for a while with no success before trying Hinge. Courtney forgot to change her age preferences (22-year-olds felt too young for her at the time...) and saw Bailey's profile, which included a picture of him backpacking. One look at his red-tinged beard and cheerful smile and she was hooked, nevermind his age. Our first date was a long walk around Rising Sun, just chatting after grabbing coffee and hot chocolate at the local cafe (shout out to Rise 'N Grind!). Within a week, there were two more dates, and less than 2 weeks later, we deleted all of our dating apps. Less than two months later, the first 'I love yous' were said on New Year's Eve during an 'Avengers' movie marathon. It's been the two of us ever since.

Wedding Party

Khaleesi Furiosa

Flower Girl

Khaleesi Furiosa (Khalee) first met Courtney 11 years ago as a distinguished young pup with a love of treats and walks. She quickly grew close to Courtney and her pupper sister, Chloe. Khaleesi is a small dog with a massive personality. She gets along with everyone and has graciously accepted her role as professional taste tester for all meals. When she isn't sneaking treats, she takes naps with her brother, Sullivan, and plays ball.

Lauren

Maid of Honor

Courtney's older sister and first best friend. One of Courtney's earliest memories with Lauren is wrapping presents for Shannon's birthday together and helping tie ribbons while Lauren cried (literally) that they weren't pretty enough; ever the perfectionist. Lauren is now an officer and nurse in the Army, currently serving at Fort Carson, Colorado. In her spare time, she enjoys baking, reading, home renovation (ask her about some of her incredible projects!), and walks with her lab mix, Nora.

Shannon

Maid of Honor

Courtney's little sister and twin flame. The two shared a room (with a bunk bed!) for several years growing up and were practically inseparable. Their voices sound extremely similar and people often do double-takes when meeting both together for the first time. Shannon recently spent a full summer working at a resort in rural Alaska; truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience! She's currently taking welding classes at a local college in Washington state. In her free time, she likes to play and cuddle with her cat Giuseppe and play video games with her boyfriend, Michael.

Rachel

Bridesmaid

Rachel and Courtney met on the first day of kindergarten after Rachel accidentally got on the wrong bus home. They were neighbors and became fast friends, always playing in the yard and at each other's houses, along with all of their siblings. Courtney was Rachel's Maid of Honor in 2019 and is also the godmother to Rachel's first daughter, Melinda. In her spare time, she loves spending time with her two daughters, husband, and extended family; they go to Hershey Park together pretty much every year!

Heather

Bridesmaid

Heather first met Courtney in performing arts class in high school where they sang and danced to everything from 'Thriller' to 'Turkey Lurkey Time' to 'Come Together'. Before the two were friends, they both attended the same My Chemical Romance concert, which Courtney recalls as being one of the most terrifying experiences of her life, while the show awoke a deep love for concerts in Heather. She has seen Taking Back Sunday, Dashboard Confessional, Paramore, and several more bands live! Courtney was also a bridesmaid in Heather's wedding in 2016 and can't wait for Heather to be a part of hers. Heather went to school for writing, but pivoted to teaching for several years. In her spare time loves to go to concerts, visit Disneyland, read, and spend time with her husband, Matt, and their three cats.

Victoria

Bridesmaid

Vicki met Courtney while working at a Delaware coffee shop (shout out to Brew-Haha!) in college. The connection was immediate and the two have remained close friends since then, with Courtney even living with Vicki and her mom for a while after moving back to Delaware in 2017. Vicki is a part-time photographer (she specializes in weddings, in fact!), but in her free time, she likes to try out new restaurants and travel to Disney World with her boyfriend, Tyler.

Kayla

Bridesmaid

Kayla met Courtney while working at a veterinary hospital in Hawaii in 2015. Once the two were on nightshift together, they became a force to be reckoned with. They raised their puppies -Khaleesi and Ava- together and would take them on hikes and to each other's houses to play often. In addition to working in vet med, Kayla has also worked for a skydiving company AND got her SCUBA certification; SCUBA diving is her all-time favorite hobby. In her free time, she loves to read and soak up as much time as possible with her two dogs and two cats.

Jaclyn

Bridesmaid

During college, Courtney worked alongside Jaclyn at Jaclyn's dad's veterinary clinic. But the two didn't become close friends 'til 2017 when -within weeks of each other- they both started emergency technician positions at the only specialty and emergency veterinary hospital in Delaware. They lived together in Rising Sun, MD for a year where they learned how much they both hate the cost of oil heating and the general requirements of maintaining a huge yard. In 2023, Jaclyn obtained her Veterinary Technician Specialist (VTS) in Emergency and Critical Care and now is mentoring Courtney as she works towards her VTS.

Ethan

Best Man

Bailey's best friend, summer roommate, and fellow nerd. One of Bailey's earliest memories of Ethan was him helping him find a bunk at the summer camp they both worked at. Ethan is now an engineer for a company in Massachusetts. In his spare time, he enjoys reading manga, watching anime, playing video games, cosplaying, and doting on his two cats Maka and Soul.

Matt

Groomsman

Matt (or Cecchini) met during their first summer as counselors at Camp John H. Ware III. It wouldn't be until later that their friendship would start over a love of video games and anime. Matt is a high school teacher where he is an assistant wrestling coach and head of the E-Sports team.

Will M.

Groomsman

Will (or Squigges) and Bailey met through the Boy Scouts and later worked together at Camp John H. Ware III. Some of Bailey's earlier memories of Squigges involve get-togethers with their parents playing cards while the boys watched anime and played board games. Squigges is a high school teacher. When he isn't working, he spends his time with his wife, Cheyanne, and daughter Naomi, playing video games, or watching anime.

Will W.

Groomsman

Will and Bailey first met when Will was a camp counselor at Camp John H. Ware III. Years later, Bailey would work at that same camp as Will's coworker. When he isn't at camp, he works as a teacher for special needs children. Will enjoys collecting Pokemon cards, playing video games, and nerding out over Star Wars.

Alex

Groomsman

Alex and Bailey met at Camp John H. Ware when Alex was a counselor in training. Alex and Bailey remained in contact through a tight knit group of fellow counselors. Alex works at a cancer research facility and has a degree in electrical engineering. When Alex isn't working, he spends his time helping his friends with animation projects, playing video games, and hanging out with friends.

Jaron

Groomsman

Jaron met Courtney through mutual friends in high school. Once he joined performing arts, he became an integral part of her inner circle. Jaron is a member of the LDS and went on his mission while Courtney was in college, during which time he kept in touch via email and handwritten letters. Jaron met Bailey in 2021 and the two bonded over video games and anime instantly. In his free time, Jaron enjoys watching anime, playing video games (HUGE Elder Scrolls fan!), and watching live punk rock shows with his wife, Laura.

Registry

As we have lived together for several years, we sincerely do not need any more home goods. As much as Courtney loves fancy glassware, we can't hold anymore (just ask Bailey). However, we are planning a 2-week honeymoon in Asia! If you have any desire to gift us something, we would greatly appreciate a donation to our Honeymoon fund.

Things To Do

The venue itself has a walking path that loops a mile around the camp and through the woods. It should be beautiful in November! It's a 12-minute drive to Rocks State Park and about 20 minutes to Gunpowder Falls State Park if you want access to more hiking trails. There are a couple of breweries nearby - we've been to Slate Farm Brewery which has cool indoor and outdoor spaces. Baltimore is about a 45-minute drive if you want to check out some museums or the National Aquarium! And finally, Rising Sun is about a 40-minute drive away. You can check out the coffee shop we first met at!
