Wedding Party

Kody Andreas

Executive Top Dawg

Kody Andreas has earned his role as the Executive Officer of Dylan's Cabinet of Top Dawgery through nearly two and a half decades of dedicated service. Though their friendship began with accusations of treachery and foul play, they became fast friends as they navigated the gauntlets of Yu-Gi-Oh!, the Woods of Odyssey, and all of life’s most challenging obstacles. Kody has never failed to see the best in Dylan, even when he has acted like the absolute worst, and that has been a boon for Dylan’s happiness and his progress toward his final form.

Caroline Doerrler

Maid of Honor

Caroline’s and Elizabeth’s friendship is one of as many opposites (e.g., heights, college majors), as deep similarities. For example, they were both much happier to stay in with yarn and whiskey while their contemporaries flocked to frat parties on the weekends. Despite her small stature, Caroline has been a gargantuan force of friendship in Elizabeth’s life across dorms, states, and countries. Just as many of their knitting projects will forever remain unfinished, Elizabeth’s and Caroline’s adventures too shall last an eternity. Whatever souls are made of, Caroline’s and Elizabeth’s are the same.

John Weachock

Top Dawg of The BB9 Delegation

Forged in the Fires of Final Destination, high atop the halls of Hunter Hill, John’s and Dylan’s unlikely friendship has been tempered into an unbreakable brotherhood. As randomly assigned suitemates at Binghamton University, Dylan quickly came to see John as a fourth older brother, earning his admiration through his creativity, ingenuity, and expressiveness. As this brotherhood first blossomed, it was not uncommon for Dylan, during one of his many midnight trips to the bathroom, to take a break from his dreams for a quick round of Super Smash Bros. The brutality with which John has earned and defended his 73% win-rate over the last fourteen years has been matched only by that with which he has delivered unto Dylan the truths he has always needed to hear. Despite Dylan’s occasional unwillingness to listen, John has stood by him, welcoming him with open arms into the Horseheads Family that we all know and love, allowing BB8 to become BB9. Although this family’s part in Dylan’s growth has been nearly as significant as that of his own, they humbly request that you not blame them for it. Other members of the BB9 Delegation include… Mike Weachock Jash Cavaluzzi Breadley Wheatston Cory Stroell

Kyle Dieterle

Top Dawg of The Warwick Delegation

Contrary to popular belief, Kyle Dieterle is 100% human and 0% bird, which allowed him to take full advantage of all the same human institutions as Dylan. They sat on the school bus together, studied Spanish and calculus together, learned to row together, and, in their early 20s, endured the cold Albany winter together. Though many of their adolescent peers suspected they would be standing across from each other at this altar, it is unlikely that Dylan would ever have grown into a man deserving of Elizabeth’s companionship without Kyle’s camaraderie and counsel, both of which have transcended not only the Mason Dixie Line, but time itself. Other members of the Warwick Delegation include… Alex Botbyl Paul Renart Stephanie Thiessen Laura Shy Juliet "Jaka Waka" Hennessy Sean Wilken

Jun Jeong

Top Dawg of The Binghamton Crew Delegation

One would suspect that Jun’s stoicism and Dylan’s whimsy would lead to conflict, but instead, they have brought balance to one another’s lives, as a port blade to a starboard. As the outside pair of their Varsity 4+ and Co-Presidents of Binghamton’s Crew Team, now known as Binghamton Rowing Club Club, Jun and Dylan spent roughly twenty hours a week together for nearly an entire fiscal year. What started out as a professional partnership soon became a more philosophical one. They discussed everything from morality and religion to the thrills of opening a fresh pack of Pokemon Cards. They spoke of love. They spoke of family. They spoke of Craig. They ate wings and nachos at The Dugout. In husbandry and fatherhood, Jun has only grown into a more inspiring figure to whom Dylan can turn for both advice and laughter. Other members of the Binghamton Delegation Include… Jeff “Juggernaut” Arnott Jason “J-Mo” Moss Becca “Mom” Schwartz Emily “PLZ” Eng And many others!

Matthew “G-Force” Grieshaber

Top Dawg of The Philadelphia Delegation

Though he may be one of many Matts, he is truly one of a kind. For many moons now he and Dylan have run, quite literally, in lockstep after their dreams, on the water, on the road, and in the Broad Street of life itself. Myriad shared disappointments, particularly those at the hands of buoys, the wind, and the New York Road Runners Association’s “lottery system,” have cemented their relationship as teammates and training partners. However, the in-between moments, those spent discussing their athletically manifested neuroses, playing Toy Baseball, and sharing assorted baked goods, are what helped them become true friends. Even when they feel like they may be running in circles, they continue to remind one another that no matter who is going the fastest, the best friends have the most fun. Other Members of the Philadelphia Delegation Include… Billiam (Panic! at the) Risko Dr. Tony “Med-Student” Ascoli And many others!

Claire Trainor

Bridesmaid

While Elizabeth might try to take credit for bringing Claire to Drexel for graduate school, really it was fate (and a really bad interview at a different school) that brought the two together as “twins” in the Manasse Lab. A shared love of gossip and clinical case formulation provided ample conversation over the course of their years as 20-somethings in the city, chasing boys, dogs, and buses alike. Out of this friendship one of just as much warmth, though admittedly fewer words, was born between Claire’s dog Milo and Elizabeth’s dog Dixie. Just as Milo is unique in his ability to earn Dixie’s affection, despite committing the crime of being a dog, so too is Claire one in a million to Elizabeth.

Elaine Miller

Bridesmaid

Elaine Miller, better known as the sugarplum to Elizabeth’s dew drop, has probably spent more cumulative hours with Elizabeth than Dylan has. The countless hours of rehearsal and the all-too-literal blood, sweat, and tears of Charlotte City Ballet Company formed the backdrop for a budding friendship which flourished over the years. Elizabeth cannot wait to share this day (as she did all of her birthday parties from ages 11-18) with Elaine.

Emily Presseller

Bridesmaid

Emily’s and Elizabeth’s friendship was forged in the fires of graduate school applications, strengthened by office floor therapy and consultation services, and cemented through dissertation data collection. Together, they tested the limits of activity trackers, as well as their own sanities, and successfully overcame not only the Fitbit API, but their own inner demons. In more ways than one can count, Emily’s influence and dry humor have given Elizabeth a level of resilience and levity that have made her the person (and scientist) she is today.

Sophie Abber

Bridesmaid

The once protégé turned academic icon, Sophie R. Abber, M.S., has staunchly supported Elizabeth over the years. Most known for threatening to send bees to rude peer reviewers, Sophie’s support of Elizabeth has extended beyond such outward threats to encompass a true connection of hearts. While their connection was kindled over Good Karma coffee shop work-dates, it has stood the test of time, transforming into frequent Zoom dinner dates to accommodate the growing physical distance between them. Sophie remains one of Elizabeth’s most ardent friends, and this support is a large part of what has carried Elizabeth through to this day.

Juliet "Jaka Waka" Hennessy

Flower Girl

Reprising her 2007 role as Flower Girl, Juliet brings to the table over 17 years of experience and expertise. As Dylan’s oldest nibling, she has been privy to the majority of his and his cohorts’ adventures and experiences over the years, and has climbed the ranks of the Warwick Valley Delegation to attain this esteemed position. Do not be fooled by the implications of innocence and youth inherent in her title, for she is, due to her herculean work ethic, unconditional kindness, and general charisma, a source of pride for all of the Hartwick clan. When you see her, be sure to give her your heartfelt congratulations for her own wedding, which will take place in just two months’ time!

Dixie

Ring Bubba

Dixie “Bubba” Lampe has been a lovable and vocal cornerstone of Elizabeth’s life for over five years. Despite her initial frustration at being left in Dylan’s apartment alone, Dixie’s decision to embrace her role as his Step-Dog was perhaps the ultimate Green Light (™) that gave Elizabeth the confidence to move forward in this relationship. Everybody who has met Dylan or Elizabeth has at least heard tell of Dixie’s barrel-sized personality and barrel-shaped body, which she loves to place directly atop the most accessible human. Bearing the rings is a duty that she does not take lightly, and though she has admitted to being somewhat nervous, her soul is alight with determination to accomplish this mission smartly and bravely!

Jeremy Hartwick

Bubba Bearer

Although Dixie is incredibly smart and exceedingly brave, she is not alone. Jeremy, the man who set for Dylan’s friends the incredibly high bar for brotherhood and dawgery, will be by her side, ensuring that she does not go astray in her mission to deliver the rings to their final destination. As the oldest of five siblings and the father of three children, Jeremy brings to this role decades of experience guiding ambitious yet naive individuals to their ultimate goals. Jeremy’s lessons in compassion and authenticity, to name a few, have ensured for Dylan the happy life he has led, and these same lessons will ensure for Dixie equal measures of success.

Reverend Michael Weachock

Officiant

This will not be the first time Reverend Michael (of the Universal Life Church) brings two wondrous souls together in holy matrimony, and it surely won’t be the last. Big Mike has treated and guided Dylan with the patience of a middle school math teacher, and when Elizabeth finally appeared on the scene, he was beyond thrilled to give Dylan the A+ toward which he had been striving. He and his own wife, Reverendess Rachel, have, through their kindness and affinity for sitting in silence with knitting needles and game controllers, made Elizabeth feel right at home, and his electric enthusiasm will certainly make you all feel the same on this special day!
