Driving up to Jalama! The drive might be long, but it is very scenic!

Will the groom be bald for the wedding? Yes, yes he most likely will. :)

Things To Do

Maverick Saloon

3687 Sagunto Street, Santa Ynez, CA 93460

They are hosting an Open Mic Night Thursday December 26th! It is a fun bar with line dancing and live music on weekends.

Santa Ynez Billiards & Cafe

1000 Edison Street, Santa Ynez, CA 93460

A low key bar to grab some delicious food, play some billiards, and meet some locals. It is one of our favorites!

Olsen's Danish Village Bakery

1529 Mission Drive, Solvang, CA 93463

This is our favorite bakery in the area! It is a quaint dutch bakery in down town Solvang. We will most likely be stopping here for a pastry the day after the wedding! While you are here, explore the town of Solvang, known for its dutch-style architecture and wineries! It is quite popular, so expect a crowd!

FAQs

Question

What is dress code?

Answer

Our wedding dress code is relaxed semi-formal, so think of what you'd wear to a nice outdoor gathering. Collared shirts, comfortable dresses, and nice slacks are perfect. Since we'll be by the beach, plan to dress warmly and in layers to stay cozy as the day cools down.

Question

How long is the drive to the beach?

Answer

The drive is about an hour and ten minutes from Santa Ynez if you are driving yourself. However, with the party bus expect the times to be even longer. There will be drinks and refreshments on the bus, but there is no bathroom so plan accordingly.

Question

Will there be cell service at the beach?

Answer

Unfortunately, there is absolutely no cell service out at Jalama. We chose this location partially because of its disconnection from the rest of the world, but that also means you will be without communication and distractions while out there. Park rangers are available if any emergencies arise.

Question

Why am I getting this is I am only coming to the reception and casino?

Answer

There is a lot of information that I would like to make available to everyone including lodging and hotel blocks reserved for anyone coming from out of town, addresses, time lines, and activities in the area. If you have any questions or concerns please feel free to reach out!
