How We Met

We first crossed paths in the fall of 2016 when we shared a mandatory student-athlete class. We began running into each other regularly in the spring and summer 2019. Despite several valiant attempts from Jason a first date was never set. Fortunately Jason’s good friend Lucy lived in the duplex unit above Louise. In the late summer of 2019, Lucy played Cupid and convinced Louise to give Jason a shot. We then spent a couple evenings with friends out downtown. We finally went on our first real date in October of 2019 at View MKE (now Avli). We moved in together to our apartment in Shorewood in 2020 then bought our house together in 2022. We now look forward to the what will be the most memorable of them all. 9/6/2025.

Things To Do

The Outsider

310 East Chicago Street, Milwaukee, WI 53202

Stop by the top floor of the Kimpton Journeyman Hotel to find a rooftop bar with views over the Third Ward and parts of downtown.

Blu

424 East Wisconsin Avenue, Milwaukee, WI 53202

Enjoy a cocktail and live jazz in the evening hours. Found on the 23rd floor of the Pfister Hotel with views that overlook much of Milwaukee. An expresso martini is recommended.

Camp Bar | Third Ward

525 East Menomonee Street, Milwaukee, WI 53202

Decorated with the theme of bars from Vilas County, WI. You will find a true Up North Wisconsin feel. A place more for drinks than food.

Harbor House

550 North Harbor Drive, Milwaukee, WI 53202

Our favorite seafood restaurant in Milwaukee. We have gone here for many anniversary and birthday celebrations. The Hudson Bay Scallops are spectacular! For cocktail lovers we recommend their "Sazerac" or a "Wisconsin Old Fashioned".

Screaming Tuna Milwaukee

106 West Seeboth Street, Milwaukee, WI 53204

Our favorite spot for sushi and waterfront views of the Milwaukee River. Located kitty corner to our wedding venue :)

Calderone Club - Downtown Milwaukee

Authentic Italian cuisine. We like to share our dishes with one another here because all of the items on the menu are so good!

Café Benelux

A great spot for breakfast, brunch, lunch and dinner. The rooftop seating has views of downtown and the Third Ward. We recommend a Bloody Mary with your brunch.

Sweet Diner

A great spot for breakfast. Jason's go to order is the Berry Feast Crepes. Louise loves the Meat Lovers Skillet Bowl.

Lake Shore State Park

Lake Shore State Park

500 North Harbor Drive, Milwaukee, WI 53202

A great spot for a short stroll with amazing views. Enjoy a walk past Summerfest, Discovery World and Milwaukee Art Museum. We have walked countless miles with Aspen (our dog) and friends here. If you have a thirst that needs to be quenched post walk, stop by Milwaukee Sail Loft.

Likewise Coffee - Milwaukee

232 East Erie Street, Milwaukee, WI 53202

Stop in for coffee or take it to go. Best enjoyed on a stroll along the Milwaukee Riverwalk. It stretches 3.1 miles through the Third Ward and part of Downtown.
