This event will have a semi-formal dress code. Women consider a long dress and comfortable shoes. The grass at the venue can be soft, so be careful with certain heels. Men think khakis or slacks and a formal button down.
Expect to arrive to the venue by 3:30 at the latest before the ceremony begins at 4pm.

4:45 pm - 5:45 pm
There will be a few light bites in addition to beer and wine.

5:45 pm - 10:00 pm
Buffet dinner will be available at 6pm. Enjoy the rest of the evening with music and mingling!

Roanoke Marshes Lighthouse
This is actually a replica of an iconic lighthouse that used to service Roanoke Island. Walk along the 40 foot dock and into the quaint, free museum inside the lighthouse!
North Carolina Aquarium on Roanoke Island
This aquarium is home to many fun creatures including river otters, alligators, and sea turtles! They are open daily from 9am-5pm.
Jockey's Ridge State Park
Jockey's Ridge state park covers a 427-acre area, and includes the tallest active sand dune system in the eastern US. A moderate amount of walking is required. Breathtaking views!
Nags Head
The closest beach city to the venue is Nags Head, NC. It is a small, charming beach town with over 30 public beach access points. Enjoy some time in the sand by the ocean!

Is the wedding indoors or outdoors?
Answer
The ceremony and reception will take place outdoors, rain or shine. The reception will be covered by a tent in case of bad weather. There inside of the estate will be open to guests who need a break from any unpredictable weather.

Yes! It is linked at the top of this page under "Registry". Please do not feel required to utilize the registry. A card with your wisdom and wishes will mean the world to us!

Will there be a shuttle to and from the hotels?
Answer
Unfortunately, due to the special nature of the venue location, there will not be a shuttle service available to get you to and from your accommodations. Please drink responsibly!

There is a dedicated parking lot in front of the venue. It may not fit every guest, but there is plenty of street parking available.
