Things To Do

Pho Bat Dan

49 Bat Dan, Hanoi

Hai's favorite Pho place. Go early in the morning for a warm bowl of pho that gives you the warmth you lack in your cold dead soul.

Bun Cha (Grilled Pork noodles)

1 Hang Manh, Hanoi

Bun Cha is another of Hai's childhood fav. Pork is grilled over coal which gives an EXQUISITE smoky taste. Chef's kiss. Might be quite touristy, but can't go wrong.

Bun Ca (Sour fish noodles)

LG eats this at least 2 times every time she goes back to Hanoi. This shit is HEALTHY and SATISFYING. Love the tanginess of the broth. GULP.

Pottery @ Bat Trang Pottery Village

204 Đường Giang Cao, Hà Nội, Vietnam

Spend half a day here for some cheap ass pottery ($3-5 per pax) which you can DIY, paint and take home. A bit far from central Hanoi, so you can grab there, or take bus if you're cheapskate. There's a straight bus from Long Bien Terminal.

Egg Coffee @ Cafe Giảng

39 Phố Nguyễn Hữu Huân, Phố cổ Hà Nội, Hà Nội, Vietnam

Gotta have me some fatty creamy egg coffee (good for your gym gainz)

Sip lemon tea in front of St Joseph Cathedral

Sip lemon tea in front of St Joseph Cathedral

40 Phố Nhà Chung, Hà Nội 100000, Vietnam

Hanoi millennials' hangout spot in front of the cathedral. Order yourself a glass of lemon tea and just vibe. There are so many good snack spots nearby it can be a food tour on its own.

Train Street

Train Street

3 Phố Trần Phú, Hà Nội 100000, Vietnam

Small street alley with an active train track in the middle. Note: they've made it illegal to go inside and roam freely, so you can only walk around there if you go in as one of the cafe customers. Trains only run a couple of times a day so if you want to see the train, check the schedule first.

FAQs

Question

How do we get to Bac Ninh for the engagement ceremony?

Answer

Bac Ninh is LG's hometown, 50km away from Hanoi. We will arrange transportation for you to leave with Hai's family at around 7AM if you'd like to join us.

Question

Where to stay?

Answer

We'd recommend staying near Old Quarter area for ease of access to good food, cafes, and tourist attractions.

Question

Getting around in Hanoi

Answer

Grab is available! Public transport is not so reliable unfortunately. You can also book a Grab car directly from the airport to your accoms, which should cost about 12-15 SGD.

Question

What if I would like to bring a +1?

Answer

Sure, we'd love to have your +1 join us too! Please just let LG or Hai know so that we can update the invitation!
