In the summer of 2012, Lupe and Eddie met through a mutual friend, named Linda. Initially, Lupe recalls being shown a picture of Eddie to which she responded he was “not her type.” But, fate has a funny sense of humor. One weekend, Lupe went to a Quinceañera with their friend, once they arrived to the party they went straight to the dance floor to meet another group of friends. That’s where all the magic happened. Eddie was introduced to Lupe and after keeping his eye on her the entire night, he asked, “how come I’ve never seen you around before?” Lupe smiled and suddenly realized Eddie was the man in the picture. Their eyes were full of admiration and attraction as they spoke to one another. Soon after, Lupe and their friends were invited to Eddie’s house for the after party where they spent the rest of the night in a corner talking about aliens, ghosts and music. Eddie was in awe when he learned Lupe had a love for rap music. Lupe and Eddie felt a connection so strong that they were drawn to each other in a way they hadn’t experienced before. Eddie felt nervous to reach out to Lupe the following day but Lupe decided to message him on Facebook messenger. Their connection continued to develop over time, which led them to experience a love filled with laughter and cherished memories. Most importantly, their love blossomed when they welcomed their baby boy, Elias. Lupe, Eddie and Elias are now onto their next greatest adventure which is to celebrate their love on October 11, 2024.
