FAQs

Question

What will the weather be like?

Answer

You can expect highs in the 70's-80's and lows in the 40's-50's with a 13% chance of rain on an average day. The temperatures should be mildly cool with a gentle breeze but please be sure to bring something warm.

Question

What should I wear?

Answer

Please wear what makes you feel most comfortable! We will be walking around different parts of the museum so be sure to wear comfy shoes or bring some to change into. We were advised not to rent heaters for the reception since they won't be needed so if you get cold easily, please dress accordingly.

Question

Do I need to worry about high altitude?

Answer

Santa Fe sits at an elevation of 7,198 feet, making it the third highest city in America. Santa Fe's high altitude (7,000 feet above sea level) means air is rarefied, thinner, staying hydrated helps. Watch your alcohol intake. One drink is the equivalent of three at sea level. There are no beaches, but Santa Fe is closer to the sun, and the sun shines 300 days of the year- sunscreen and a hat can help.
