Travel Note
The closest airports to Lincoln City are Portland and Eugene. It is about a 2 hour drive from either. There is a shuttle that goes to PDX from Lincoln City, but times are limited. The website below lists the availability for this. We highly recommend car pooling if you are flying and know others coming to celebrate. THERE IS NO UBER IN TOWN OR TO THE AIRPORTS.
Hotel
PLEASE DO NOT BOOK ONLINE! Please call Teresa at Anchor (her cell is 503-703-2245) to reserve your room. We have 12 rooms blocked for guests. Let her know you’re part of Grace’s party and they’ll get you all set. If any questions come up with booking, feel free to message me!
Travel Note
NOTE TO LOCALS OR THOSE NOT STAYING AT THE ANCHOR INN Parking in the main lot is reserved for hotel guests only. Additional parking is available across the street at the fire department lot or behind the Anchor Inn on SW Coast Ave (https://maps.app.goo.gl/ZbTFdrax2ijU5oeC7?g_st=ic). Please be extremely careful when crossing the highway!
Hiking is somewhat limited around Lincoln City, but if the weather allows, get outside. There are 7 open spaces throughout town with trails. Gods Thumb is a great hike, along with Drift Creek Falls. There are lots of tide pools to explore at Roads End and Fogarty Creek. Please note tide warnings and be mindful of the ocean.
The Anchor Inn has numerous fire pits, cornhole in the patio, and a croquet course out back. Please take advantage of all of the amenities on site!
Lincoln City has a great program called Finders Keepers. The city partners with glass blowers throughout the region to make glass floats to “hide” along our 7 miles of beaches. If you find one, it’s yours! Floats are set out rain or shine. Just another reason to go for beach walks while you’re here!
Who knows! The rainy season will likely be here, so bring some warm and water-resistant clothing. But it also might be sunny! 🤞🏼 The forecast changes constantly so come prepared and check weather apps about a week from arrival.
