On a cold winter evening, January 22, 2019, Jake and Grace made their way to St. Joan of Arc Chapel for a beloved Marquette tradition: Tuesday Night Mass! Neither of them knew it then, but that night would change everything. Across the chapel, their eyes met. After Mass, they quite literally bumped into each other, and Grace greeted Jake with an enthusiastic, “Oh hi!” as if they had known each other forever. A coffee date was planned (and subsequently rescheduled thanks to our classic winter weather in Wisconsin), but the beginning of something truly special had already started to form. A few weeks later, on National Marquette Day 2019, they made it "officially official." From there, really, the rest was history. Through long nights of dental school studying, countless cups of coffee shared, unforgettable adventures, and across 7 years of making memories together, their bond only grew stronger. Along the way, they discovered not only a perfect match, but also a best friend, biggest supporter, and lifelong partner in one another. Now, they can't wait to begin their next chapter.
