When should I RSVP by?

Answer

We understand a destination wedding is a big ask! The earlier you can RSVP the better. We have rooms blocked out at the main hotel through November 15th, after this date any unbooked rooms will be released to the general public. We need final RSVPs by January 1st.

Are kids welcome?

Answer

While we really do love your kids, we are strongly encouraging an adults-only wedding so you can fully enjoy yourselves. The ceremony and reception will be on an open beach and open-air restaurant.

When should we arrive in Mexico?

Answer

We have the rooms at Hotel Aura del Mar blocked March 15 - 22 (Sunday - Sunday) and the wedding is on Friday the 20th, so feel free to come down early and stay as long as you'd like.

Is there transportation to and from the hotels to the ceremony?

Answer

If you're staying at Aura del Mar or Hotel Irma you won't need transportation. Most of Zihua is walkable, however there are taxis if you are choosing to stay on a different beach and these are very quick and under $10.

Is Mexico safe to travel to?

Answer

In case you’re having any reservations about travelling to Mexico - we have traveled to Zihuatanejo multiple times; we feel it’s a very safe area and the hospitality is truly unbeatable. Government sites always have certain travel advisories up, however we understand these are for the more remote areas of the country. Much of Mexico lives off the tourism industry and we've really felt like the taxi drivers, hotel and restaurant staff we've interacted with only want visitors to feel safe and have a fun vacation. The airport has secure travel to the hotels and once you're there it's just like anywhere else - be smart about how you travel!
