Grace was awoken from a peaceful Sunday afternoon nap by her father who handed her a letter from Arthur. "But it's not my birthday yet," the hazy brained Grace protested. However he father finally convinced her it was okay to open the letter. Inside was a clue to go to the bookstore down the street. Filled with fluttering anticipation, Grace walked over, still trying to shake off the nap haziness. At the store she found her mom with the next clue. Grace immediately knew where to go- a bridge in the park she had visited with Arthur about a year earlier. Deciding to walk to the next clue alone, Grace set off down the path that would lead her to her final letter. Excitement pounded in Grace's heart as she wondered what could be waiting for her. She rounded the bend to the bridge and found a bouquet of small white roses and a final letter which told her to turn around. Meanwhile, Arthur was waiting under the bridge fending off mosquitos and waiting patiently for Grace to come. As she was reading the letter he climbed out and stood at the end of the bridge. After a thoroughly surprised reaction and a long hug, Arthur recited a quick but beautiful speech and got down on one knee. The rest is history.
