On one of the most snowy days of the year, Chris was driving back from a hockey tournament in Milwaukee and convinced Katie that they should get dinner that night. With almost white-out driving conditions, they made their way to a Tap Room restaurant and proceeded to close down the place. Over the 7 days, they had 5 more dates which included cheering on the MN Wild and booking a trip to Orlando.

One night at the dinner table, Chris asked each of the kids, how they would feel about us getting married. Steven, our 8 year old, said it was a great idea because if we were to break up, he would have to eat a lot more of pizza rolls again. With everyone laughing, we all agreed that eating more pizza rolls would definitely be a bad thing. Later while I was doing the dishes, all of a sudden I get a hug from behind. Looking around I see all of the kids in the kitchen and Chris steps off to the side. He says something along the lines of "You know I love you and we wouldn't want Steve to have to eat more pizza rolls so will you marry me?" With tears in my eyes, I put down the bowl I was washing to say "Yes of course!"
