How We Met

Skylar and Tyler met in May of 2023 at a stag and doe in Sarnia, ON. In the coming weeks, they couldn't keep away from each other. Before they knew it, weeks rolled into months, then months rolled into years. In June of 2025, Tyler got down on one knee… Skylar said yes!

Schedule

Saturday, October 2, 2027

Ceremony

4:30 pm - 5:00 pm

Semi-Formal: Tuxes and gowns are welcome, and so are suits and cocktail dresses. Refrain from wearing white, burnt orange and auburn colours.

Given the location of our venue, please use a transportation service we have booked for the night or plan ahead to have a designated driver. There will be a designated area for guests planning on camping overnight on the day of the wedding.

Photographs

5:00 pm - 6:00 pm

Semi-Formal: Suits and cocktail dresses are recommended. Refrain from wearing white, burnt orange and auburn colours.

Guests who are immediate family and close friends will take priority for photographs during this time. We would love to take pictures with all of you; however, given the busy evening ahead, we are asking our guests to enjoy the cocktail hour. Please feel free to come see us throughout the night to take photos! Photographs taken with or of the bride and groom during the wedding are kindly asked NOT to be posted to social media until we have gotten the opportunity to share our photos first. Please feel free to post any photographs of yourselves enjoying the night!

Cocktail Hour

5:30 pm - 6:45 pm

Semi-Formal: Suits and cocktail dresses are recommended. Refrain from wearing white, burnt orange and auburn colours.

We invite guests to enjoy outdoor games and mingling while we take photos with family and friends following the ceremony. Please enjoy the bar trailer responsibly and help yourselves to some light snacks during this time. We can't wait to celebrate with you!

Dinner

5:45 pm - 7:00 pm

Semi-Formal: Suits and cocktail dresses recommended. Refrain from wearing white, burnt orange and auburn colours.

We will have plated buffet style meals for guests invited to the dinner after the ceremony. Please be seated by approximately 5:45pm to allow the night to move smoothly.

Speeches

6:45 pm - 7:00 pm

Casual Attire: Anything goes, from sundresses and sandals to jeans and tees. Please refrain from wearing white, burnt orange and auburn colours.

Please find your seat as you arrive for the beginning of our reception. We will kick off the night with some short but sweet speeches from the bride and groom, parents of the bride and groom, as well as members of the wedding party.

First Dances

7:15 pm - 7:30 pm

Casual Attire: Anything goes, from sundresses and sandals to jeans and tees. Please refrain from wearing white, burnt orange and auburn colours.

Before we officially share the dance floor, we are going to start off the night with our first dance as husband and wife. Following our first dance, we will have our special moment with parents on the dance floor.

FAQs

Question

Do you have hotel rooms blocked for guests?

Answer

Due to the location of our ceremony and reception, we have designated areas on site for camping overnight. Guests are reminded to please set up the day prior to the wedding in the designated camping area.

Question

Where are guests expected to park?

Answer

There will be designated parking areas on site. Please follow the signs when you arrive.

Question

What date should I RSVP by?

Answer

Please RSVP as soon as you can. We understand that child care and work may not allow for this, so please RSVP by July 1, 2027.

Question

Are plus ones and children allowed?

Answer

Unless otherwise indicated on your invitation, no plus ones will be permitted. Although we love your children, we have made the decision to keep our wedding adult only. Some older children of immediate family members may be added to invitations.

Question

Is there a dress code for your wedding?

Answer

Dress codes for each event on the day of the wedding are specified on our website. We ask that clothing remains semi-formal for the beginning of the day, and for the reception, casual but nice clothing is acceptable.

Question

Where are you registered for wedding gifts?

Answer

We have chosen to do our registry through myregistry.com. The link can be found under the registry tab on our website. Please note that we are also accepting cash gifts; however, the website does not give us an option to add this.

Question

Is it okay to post wedding photos on your wedding day?

Answer

If photos of the wedding are guests enjoying themselves, yes they can be posted. We ask; however, that photos of the bride and groom, as well as our wedding party are not posted the day of the wedding.

Question

Will your wedding be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

The wedding will be outdoors. Please note that this event will take place rain or shine. Though we will have tents set up, come prepared for the weather.

Question

If I am not camping overnight, will there be transportation afterward?

Answer

As of right now, we are planning to have transportation for guests local to the Lambton County area. This will be dependent on how many people are going to require transportation services after the reception is over. Please note that if there is not a number greater than 10 requiring this service, guests who have been drinking and are not staying on site will be advised to plan ahead to have a designated driver.

Question

What time will transportation services be leaving the venue after the reception?

Answer

Transportation services will arrive promptly at the designated area for 12:00am. Guests requiring these services will be asked to be at this location for 11:50pm.

Question

Are there going to be washrooms available at this site?

Answer

Yes. We are planning to have portable washrooms for guests to use throughout the night.
