Our Story

"L’amore si misura in piatti cucinati" - Love is measured in cooked dishes

Gio and Giselle spent a better part of their year in San Diego, frequenting the same farmers market and shops, but somehow never ran into each other despite living 15 minutes from each other. Finally, one day, it happened - On March 30, 2022, @6:30 am, Gio ran right into Giselle on a five-inch phone screen on Hinge, and his jaw dropped. Gio was instantly attracted to Giselle's profile after seeing her "genuine and infectious smile" and love for electronic music, and messaged her immediately. Due to Giselle’s busy and active lifestyle and occasional episodes of inattention, she did not see or respond to Gio’s message until 13 days later. They first met at You & Yours Gin Distilling company and connected over their love of Gin and electronic music. It didn’t take long before Gio shared with his closest friends, telling them he had found the woman he was looking for. On October 27, 2024, Gio proposed to Giselle while at a staycation at the Ojai Valley Inn. Gio and Giselle have spent the past three years doing the things they love: cooking for each other, spending time with each other's friends and family, attending concerts and music festivals, traveling around Europe and Honduras, and raising their playful and tenacious dog Rufus.
