Giovanni and Erin met years ago snowboarding at Mount Wachusett . In 2018 they rekindled their friendship and decided to go on a date. Giovanni being the typical gentleman he is asked Erin to pick her favorite restaurant. Erin being the carb lover she is chose The Cheesecake Factory. After the hour-long car ride on Halloween night, they were informed it would be a three-hour wait for food. Before either of them would get hangry a decision to go to California Pizza Kitchen was made. This is where Giovanni saw Erin's true colors as the owner tried to speak to us about "a true Italian name" and Erin hid behind Giovanni so she did not have to speak (that short conversation turned into the owner sitting with us for our entire first date because he was so impressed with Giovanni). Since that first date, the two have spent their time in Rhode Island, Massachusetts, Florida, Maine, and New Hampshire getting to know each other and falling in love more as time goes.

Giovanni and Erin took a trip to Maine on September 23rd-25th 2022. Their weekend started off with lobster rolls and breweries in Portland on Friday. Saturday the 24th the two traveled to Acadia National Park for the first time, where Gio popped the question on a secluded cliff overlooking the ocean.
