In March 2020, the world shut down. By June of 2020, everyone was bored. And what do you do when you’re bored, single, and tired of binge-watching TV? You join dating apps. Somehow, the Bumble algorithm connected Hayley and John. John invited Hayley over for dinner. Hayley made John promise not to murder her. A delicious dinner was had, sparkling conversation lasted well into the night, so long that Hayley’s roommate texted to check in on her with a, “Bruh… you good?” To which Hayley replied, “Yeah. Not dead. Chillin.” At the end of that first date, both John and Hayley knew they had, at the very least, made a really good friend. By the fourth date, only a couple of weeks later, they both knew that this was something way more real than they had initially expected. Turns out the Bumble algorithm gets it right sometimes. Now, four years later, Hayley and John have a cat, a dog, and just bought a home together. They plan on hanging out forever. 💕
