Some people didn't receive our emailed Save the Date so we texted it to most people today (unless we didn't have your phone number or knew you already received it).
Hotel
This is the venue for the ceremony and reception. Among the hotels listed, it's the only one with a pool. However, they do have a 2-night minimum. The discount code will be available in June 2025. Rooms are $375.60+17.5% tax =$440/night. Valet parking will be $60/night. Discount Code - We'll update this soon!
Flight
BWI is the closest airport, only 24 minute drive to/from the venue (without traffic).
Train
Baltimore Penn Station is ~3 miles and a 15 minute drive to the hotels where we'll reserve room blocks.

We have a room block! This hotel is about a 12-minute walk from the Pendry and is one of the more affordable hotels available for the wedding weekend.

Hotel
Jen's family stayed here when she rented a condo upstairs. It was originally a tobacco warehouse and is located on the water. Breakfast is included and there's a parking lot on site ($30/night). As Seth can attest, you may be able to score a free parking spot on Fell Street instead. This hotel is 0.2 miles (~4 minutes) to the wedding venue. They also allow you to stay for only one night and pay the room block rate. The discount code and room rate will be available in June 2025. Self-parking is available in a parking lot that is located on site ($30/night). The hotel has its own shuttle and may be able to drop you off at the wedding venue and other nearby locations - pleaase check with the Inn's front desk.

Jen used to ride her bike around the harbor to the fort regularly and took Seth here on our 3rd date. You can walk around the outside of the fort for free or pay to watch a short video and go inside the fort and up close to the cannons.
Bring cash as they sometimes have a cover charge. It's across the street from the wedding veue.
The shark exhibit is amazing!
It's safe during the day but best to avoid after 9pm. Located here are paddle boats, the USS Consetellation, Aquarium, and Ritas (Jen's favorite softserve ice cream in Baltimore).
This is a short walk from the hotel, and you can get there by walking along the water. This neighborhood has some good shopping (incuding the Under Armour flagship store), higher-end restaurants, and is near Little Italy and the Inner Harbor (where the Aquarium is located). If you prefer, you could stay here at the Courtyard Marriott, Hampton Suites, Hilton Garden Inn, Marriott, or The Four Seasons.
This is where Jen's sailing friends go after racing. They have an outdoor patio with water views and indoor space. Try the fish sandwich or ropa vieja.
Every place we've tried is good. Here are a few we like: Benny's Baltimore Isabella's Brick Oven Chiapparelli's Restaurant Vaccaro's Desserts
Home to the country's first monument to George Washington, which is lit up at a large ceremony each December rather than a tree. Favorite food spots include an indoor food market and a prohibition-era venue called the Owl Bar (the eyes lit up when they had alcohol and pictures are on display of their famous guests).
At the top of Federal Hill is a park with cannons (to protect the city) and at the bottom is a neighborhood with lots of restaurants, including an indoor food market. Bmore Licks is an great ice cream shop (hard and soft ice cream) - the owner is a relative of those who started JP Licks in Massachusetts. Keep in mind that they don't take cash. Near Little Havana, you can also visit the American Visionary Arts Museum (it's very funky), the Baltimore Museum of Industry, and on the same property is the Downtown Sailing Center, which many of you have donated to. This is a good place to gas up before getting on I-95 too (Royal Farms and BP).
There are multiple historic ships to tour. Jen toured the submarine with her dad and stepmom (her dad had to duck the whole time) and she attended several post-regatta parties aboard the USS Constellation. You can buy tickets online or at designated kiosks.
Extra Noteworthy: Thames Street Oyster House was Jen and her dad's favorite local restaurant, which they discovered the night before Jen moved into her first apartment. It's a very small venue and they didn't take parties larger than 4 last we checked (a few years ago). The restaurant is across the street from the wedding veue. Other Restaurants: Ekiben (good for lunch), Blue Moon Cafe (breakfast/brunch), The Daily Grind (coffee shop), Ampersea (where Jen, Seth, and their friends celebrated Jen's PhD defense), the Choptank (lunch/dinner), and an indoor food market (lunch/dinner) where Jen's favorite hard ice cream - Takahara Brothers Ice Cream - is located. Her sailing friends shipped several pints to Massachusetts when her dad died and Grandma Gerber was a big fan of it too. Entertainment: The Cat's Eye Pub and the Waterfront Hotel are music venues across the street from the wedding venue. Bring cash as they sometimes have a cover charge.
Visit Johns Hopkins University's undergrad campus, the Baltimore Museum of Art, and Gertrude's Restaurant (located at the museum). The crab cakes are so good!
The spa is open on Sundays!
It's super cute! It's where Jen lived for 7 years - there are lots of bars and restaurants, a public water taxi stop, and a fun music venue called The Cat's Eye. Please be aware that the streets are made of cobblestone and the sidewalks are made of brick, so watch your step so that you don't trip!
A good rule in Baltimore - whether you park on your own or valet your car - is not to leave anything visible. Put your phone cords and everything else out of sight (locking it in the trunk or out of sight in a compartment). Most areas in Baltimore offer street parking that allow you to pay by credit card and some areas (ex. Harbor East, the Inner Harbor) have garages as well. All wedding guests may valet park at The Sagamore Pendry the evening of May 24, 2026 and hotel guests may park overnight. They do not have a garage of their own, but rent space in multiple garages nearby. Someone will get your car as quickly as they can run to it!
No, she's published under Gerber and sticking with it. Besides, we wouldn't want Seth to change his nickname for her from Captain Doctor Gerbinator to anything else.
Thank you for thinking of us! We registered at Bloomingdales and linked this under the Registry section. We'd like to upgrade our dishes but don't have space to store new dishes and old dishes simultaneously, so would appreciate your giving us a reason to donate the old ones! We live in a condo so space is limited.
Fly: BWI is the closest airport, but DCA and IAD are not that far away either. Tain: You can also take the tain to Baltimore Penn Station. Drive: All the recommended hotels are a short drive from I-95 too.
The discount codes for the room blocks will be added in June 2025. The hotels we've selected are listed under the Travel section. The Sagamore Pendry's room block will have a two-night minimum. Rooms can be booked at the Canopy and the Inn at Henderson's Wharf for one night at the room block rate.
The last picture in the Gallery is from when Seth proposed on December 1st, 2024. He wanted to propose on the anniversary of our first date when we were at the Jersey Shore for Thanksgiving. He bought the turle when in Reno, NV for work. A ring followed ~2 months later.
