GEORGETTE’S POV🎀 The day was cold and the temperatures were below 0, however it was not an impediment for Georgette to stop going to the gym. She was studying abroad, which meant that due to any stress or bad experience during school she could not get home and feel the warm hug of mom and dad that calmed her anxiety. Nostalgia took over more in her body because it was her first time in a completely different (huge) city during one of her favorite months of the year, December. So the gym was the only place where she could relieve all the negative thoughts. Her routine was waking up at 5:40 a.m., go to school from 9-5:00 p.m., sometimes stay there for an hour to study, cook for the next day and then work out from 8:30 to 10 p.m. To get to the gym, she had to walk 30 minutes from the bus stop to LA Fitness in New Hyde Park with a pink backpack full of anatomy and physiology books, a laptop, change of clothes and toiletries. Her body was destroyed at the end of the day but, surprisingly, at the entrance of the gym they had incorporated a space to show a new service. These were air compression boots to improve blood flow in the legs after strength exercises. “Fantastic” - she said. It was there that she met Jonathan. “Hi, i’m from Perú.”; was her introduction. …… JONATHAN’S POV🧢 It was a cold December day. The Christmas spirit was high and Jonathan was racking in many sales at his job at LA Fitness. The one particular day however, he was dreading having to come in to work, but something told him to come in that day. Towards the end of his shift, he noticed a woman wearing scrubs and her hair in a bun with a backpack that was almost the size of her. He found her very attractive and hoped she would talk to him. This woman approached him and asked if he knew where his co-worker was, as he was the one who had sold her the gym membership days prior. Jonathan mentioned that said co-worker was not present but that he could help her. So he helped her with the leg compression machine he was promoting at the time. They began to converse and Jonathan learned that the woman, who introduced herself as Georgette, was going to school for esthetics and skincare, which he found even more attractive as he admired ambition. Somehow, Jonathan knew Georgette would become very important to him very soon….
The dress code is semi-formal. For men, we suggest a suit, blazer, or button down with pants. For women, a dress, jumpsuit, or dressy separates would all work. Comfortable shoes (flats or wide heels) are a must!
