Georges and Taylor’s adventure began on the Lower East Side of New York City. One Friday evening, they each braved the bitter cold to meet a friend for happy hour and a night out. The long, narrow bar quickly filled to the brim. Taylor was sipping on the special (a lychee martini), deep in conversation – when suddenly, someone knocked her off her feet. Insert: Georges, who accidentally bumped into her while wearing his backpack in the bar. Straight out of a rom-com, Georges quickly apologized and the two began talking… and just like that, their meet-cute started with a side eye, chivalry, and quick-witted banter. The rest is history. Georges and Taylor have shared a wonderful life together since then. They co-parent a lazy-but-feisty Shih Tzu named Gizmo, traveled to various countries and states, and swap between reality shows and tragic Knicks games. Ask Taylor her favorite memory with Georges, and she’ll say, “Every time we travel together – from Italy to Puerto Rico, or even a drive upstate. I love exploring new sites with Georges. We make the best of any situation and he’s always down for an adventure.” Ask Georges, and he’ll say, “When Taylor took time and set up a birthday getaway for me even though I didn’t want to do anything. It was my 34th birthday, and she insisted on making it one to remember. She planned a whole weekend getaway with my family and friends in an Airbnb. She always finds a way to make sure I’m celebrated.” For her 30th birthday, Taylor planned a group trip to Bali and invited friends to join. A master curator of events, Taylor was busy setting a loose itinerary for everyone to adventure the island, indulge in incredible food, relax and experience a new culture. However, unbeknownst to Taylor, Georges discreetly wore a ‘planner hat’ as well. After a half-day yoga retreat for the girls, Georges took Taylor away for an intimate candlelit dinner. As they sat down, the duo were welcomed with lychee martinis! It was a beautiful full-circle moment, made even better when Georges dropped to one knee. In a lush garden sprinkled with rose petals, he asked Taylor to marry him. The two returned home and started planning another celebratory, international experience for themselves and their friends and family – see you in Mexico in December 2024!
