Dia de los Muertos

The Wedding Website of Genevieve Knott and Bradley Evans
Because our wedding is on November 2nd, the second day of the two-day celebration of Dia de los Muertos (Day of the Dead), we encourage all guests to bring photos and/or items of deceased loved ones to celebrate with us. There will be an Ofrenda for everyone to display their items. These altars are decorated with bright yellow marigold flowers, photos of the departed, and the favorite foods and drinks of the one being honored. The offerings are believed to encourage visits from the land of the dead, as the departed souls hear their prayers, smell their foods, and join in the celebrations!
