Although we grew up in the same hometown and ran in similar circles, we did not meet until 2022. Geneva started working at the same nursing home and the same shift as Joey's mom, Jenn. Joey brought his mom lunch one night and Geneva was on her third 12 hour shift in a row and did not know anyone came through the door. Once he left, a coworker (and wedding guest) Fayth mentioned how compatible we could be. Fayth showed Geneva a few photos of Joey since she did not get a good look at him before he left and Geneva was taken aback by how cute Joey was and mad that she was not paying attention when he was there. Apparently, Joey had the same idea because on his way out he asked his mom what her name was because he also thought she was cute. Our first date lasted about 10 hours and Geneva told a friend immediately after that she had a feeling that would be the guy she would marry.
