They met in 2020 in an adult kickball league and slowly became part of the same friend group. At the time, neither of them had any idea this was the beginning of something much bigger. (Fun fact - Chelsea's first text message to Gasper was for an 80's themed murder mystery party the group was participating in. It calls him a hairy beast and asks him not to ruin her party. A true romance origin story.) They didn’t really start getting close until the spring of 2021. As two very serious Mets fans, Chelsea invited Gasper to start watching games with her and her 7 Line friends. They quickly realized they had the same sense of humor, the same energy, and suddenly they were texting every day. They started attending Mets games together on a regular basis, slowly falling in love in centerfield. How can you not be romantic about baseball? Around this time, Gasper started asking mutual friends if they thought he should make a move. Their answer was an enthusiastic, unanimous yes — a decision heavily discussed during a 7 Line road trip to Pittsburgh. Then one night, after a particularly booze-filled Mets game, Gasper dropped Chelsea off at home… and they finally kissed. Gasper officially asked Chelsea to be his girlfriend during a birthday trip to Atlantic City in the fall of 2021. They moved in together in November 2024, and one year later, in November 2025, they got engaged. What started with kickball and Mets games somehow turned into forever — and they can’t wait to celebrate it with all of you.
