For our guests traveling to Lafayette, the best option is the regional airport, LFT. You can also choose to fly into New Orleans or Baton Rouge, but those are 2.5 hours and 1 hour away, respectively. We suggest two hotels in the area (see below). Please reach out to Andrew directly if you have any further questions on travel and lodging.

Festivals Acadiens et Créoles

500 Girard Park Dr, Lafayette, LA 70508

Although we admittedly did not plan it out this way, there is a festival the weekend of the wedding! Festival Acadiens et Creoles is a three day celebration of Cajun and Creole culture with live music, arts, food, and dancing. It is held in Girard Park near UL's campus, which is a short car ride away from just about anywhere in Lafayette. Festival Acadiens is unique to our area and is an awesome way to experience some Cajun culture while you're here. Megan and I are planning to be there.
