Raleigh Durham International Airport (RDU)
2400 John Brantley Blvd, Morrisville, NC 27560 RDU is a larger airport with a wide range of flight options. It’s approximately a 2.5-hour drive to Topsail Beach, making it a convenient choice for guests traveling from across the country.

Wilmington International Airport (ILM)
1740 Airport Blvd, Wilmington, NC 28405 Wilmington International Airport (ILM) is the closest airport to Topsail Beach, located just about 45 minutes away by car. While it offers fewer flight options compared to larger airports, it's a good choice for guests flying in.

Coast Carolina Regional Airport (EWN)
200 Terminal Dr, New Bern, NC 28562 Located in New Bern, NC, this smaller airport offers a more limited number of flights, primarily connecting through Charlotte. It’s about a 1.5-hour drive to the wedding location.

The easiest way to get from any airport to the beach is by car. Rental cars are available at all airports, but we recommend booking in advance to ensure availability. If you know of other guests arriving around the same time at the same airport, consider coordinating with them to share a rental car and make the trip even more fun!

Topsail Beach
Topsail Beach is the perfect place to unwind and enjoy a bit of coastal charm in between wedding celebrations. Spend some time soaking up the sun on the beach, walking along the Surf City Ocean Pier, or relaxing at Soundside Park. If you're in the mood for good food, check out local favorites like Daddy Mac’s Beach Grille for oceanfront seafood, Shaka Taco for casual beachside tacos, or Sears Landing for a cozy meal by the marina.
Wilmington
If you’re planning to spend a little more time in the area, Wilmington is just over an hour from Topsail Beach and full of charm, history, and fun things to do. Take a walk along the Wilmington Riverwalk, a scenic boardwalk lined with shops, cafes, and beautiful views of the Cape Fear River. History lovers can tour the Battleship North Carolina, a WWII battleship turned museum, or stroll through the cobblestone streets of the Historic Downtown district. Grab a drink and a bite at Front Street Brewery, a popular downtown spot for craft beer, or enjoy some tacos at Islands Fresh Mex Grill for a more casual meal. If you're craving some extra beach time, head over to Wrightsville Beach.

How soon should I book a stay?

As our wedding falls over Labor Day weekend, we recommend booking your accommodations 3-4 months in advance to ensure availability. Of course, the earlier, the better! When booking, please double-check the distance from your stay to the venue to make sure it’s within a comfortable distance for your liking.

What airport should I fly into?
Answer
Wilmington and New Bern are both about an hour away from Topsail Beach. Many guests will be flying in from the Raleigh-Durham area, where you'll find more affordable flight options through Raleigh-Durham International Airport (RDU). Please note, a rental car will be necessary to get from the airport to the beach.

We are beyond excited to celebrate this special day surrounded by the people we love most. Your presence means the world to us, and we truly appreciate the time you'll take to be with us. We promise, just having you there is more than enough.

What is the dress code?
Answer
Semi-casual with a coastal twist! We kindly ask guests to wear solid colors—simple, elegant, and great for photos. Textures are fine as long as they keep to a single, solid color look. The ceremony will be on the beach, so footwear is whatever you’re comfortable with, but we recommend removing your shoes when walking out to the beach to keep sand out and your shoes clean. If the weather should turn bad, the ceremony will be held indoors. No jeans or T-shirts, please. Think sundresses, jumpsuits, button-downs, polos, or linen sets. After the ceremony, we’ll head indoors for the cocktail hour and reception.

What time should I arrive?

Please arrive 30 minutes before the ceremony to ensure you're settled in before the festivities begin. The ceremony will start promptly at 5:00pm.

Will there be transportation to and from the venue?
Answer
Unfortunately, no. Please keep this in mind when choosing your accommodations, especially in relation to the location of the ceremony. Since it’s a smaller beach town, ride-share services like Uber and Lyft may be limited. If you plan on enjoying drinks (beer and wine only will be served), please arrange for a designated driver in advance.

What should I do if I can’t attend?

First of all—how dare you. Just kidding! If you can’t make it, we totally understand—but please RSVP as soon as possible so we don’t accidentally save you a seat, a slice of cake, or a dance with [Bride/Groom/Us]! We’ll miss you and expect extra love via text, snail mail, or interpretive dance videos….we would really appreciate the dance videos :)

Will the area be busy since it's Labor Day weekend?

Yes, Labor Day weekend is a popular time to visit Topsail Beach, so the area may be a bit busier than usual. We recommend making any travel or dining plans early to ensure you have everything you need. Despite the extra crowds, we’re sure you’ll enjoy the laid-back beach vibe and the excitement of the holiday weekend!
