Please complete your RSVP by April 6th, 2026 at the latest - but the sooner, the better! We need to have a final guest count by this date as per our contract with our wedding vendors. You can RSVP on this website at any time by visiting the RSVP page or clicking the "RSVP" button on the home page. Once you navigate to the RSVP page and type in your name, you will see all guests invited in your party/pair and you can RSVP on their behalf. RSVP-ing also helps us in our planning process (speaking with caterers, DJ, etc.), so please RSVP as soon as you know if you will be able to attend. We will be sending out formal invitations as well, but there is no need to wait until you get an official paper invite in the mail. Thank you!
Great question. Garden party semi-formal or cocktail refers to your classic wedding attire (dresses, jumpsuits, dress shirts, suits, etc.), but with summery colors, prints, and textures. Feel free to have fun with different colors and prints - as long as its not white, you're pretty much good to go. Bridesmaids will be wearing light blue and groomsmen will be in black. Here is a Pinterest board of examples and ideas, if you want: https://pin.it/mQyifY0cl (copy and paste). There's no need to go out and buy a fun-colored dress or suit solely to meet dress code - garden party is just the suggestion/recommendation. Just wear something nice and comfortable for the day. You'll need to walk through grass to get to the ceremony site, so be mindful of what shoes you wear. Feel free to message the bride with any outfit concerns or questions: 317-681-4986.
All guests need to be in their seats at the ceremony site by 3:50pm. Our staff will guide guests to the ceremony site upon arrival and will not allow guests to enter the site past 3:50pm to avoid conflict with photos or the wedding party procession. Please message us in advance of the wedding day if you will need any accommodations during the ceremony.
All guests that are not staying on-property must leave the premises by 11:00 PM, as per our contract with Richwood.
You're as surprised as we were. With most venues in Chicago being ridiculously expensive (one venue *started* at $5,500 per hour), we opted to look elsewhere. We found Richwood on the River and fell in love with it - sorry for making you traverse out to small town Kentucky! But it will be fun, we promise.
On-property accommodations at Richwood are reserved for immediate family members and the wedding party. All beds have been accounted for at this time. Please see our Travel & Accommodations tab for more information about local hotels and transportation for wedding day events.
Unfortunately, no. Our wedding is strictly RSVP only, and we will only be able to accommodate those listed when you complete your RSVP. While we would love to have others celebrate with us, we prefer to keep the wedding intimate to close family and friends. Thank you for understanding!
No, all wedding weekend events are adults-only (21+). Thank you for your understanding.
All wedding events will be held primarily outdoors, but the indoor common spaces of Richwood will be open for guests. The ceremony and reception will be moved indoors at Richwood in the event of bad weather.
Yes - all events take place at Richwood on the River, which has its own parking lot. Richwood staff will be on-site to assist with parking. We are not offering valet parking.
Please share your dietary needs (severe allergies or restrictions) when you complete your RSVP. You can also email our wedding inbox: kwed6626@gmail.com.
We have one hotel block reserved at The Fairfield Inn & Suites in Madison, IN. See our Travel & Accommodations page for more info. All other hotels listed on the Travel page are first come, first served. Message us if you are having trouble finding a place to stay.
Feel free to send any additional questions you may have to our wedding inbox at kwed6626@gmail.com, or you can text/message the bride or groom.
