Let’s Celebrate...at a later date

Thank you for taking a moment to let us tell you our story. We love each other so much and have been looking forward to sharing our wedding video. In fact, our original video was over 30 minutes long! Since the video has been shortened to a manageable length, we would like to write a few thoughts that we publicly want to share. From Gam: I would like people to know a couple things: I love Ryan so much and want to take care of him for the rest of my life. I also would like to share my gratitude for the Burke family and our community in State College. It has been amazing experiencing all the love in my life not only from Ryan, but also from the rest of the Burke family. Bruce, Kym, Callie, and Patrick have befriended me and provided me with unconditional support from day 1. Beyond my immediate family, the community in State College have been so nice and welcoming to me. I love State College and love America because of the wonderful, caring people that I interact with on a daily basis. For that, I thank you. From Ryan: I was excited for our 2020 wedding mainly because it would give all our guests a chance to spend time with Gam. Many of our guests have known me my entire life, but haven’t had many opportunities to get to know Gam. Let me say that Gam is so special! She’s compassionate, loving, and funny. I respect her for taking many risks and sticking with me. My life is so much better when she’s around. I love you so much Thai Style! Thanks for being a part of our special wedding. Ryan and Gam

...and made the difficult decision to postpone the wedding. As recently as last week, we weren’t even considering such drastic action. It was our belief that the risks posed by COVID-19 would decrease significantly over the summer months. Unfortunately that has not been the case. With the resurgence of cases across the country and the PA Governor’s new restrictions, it’s become obvious the only prudent course of action is to postpone the wedding. We are not certain how exactly we will be proceeding. We’re going to need a week or two to figure it out. But we wanted to get this message out immediately once the decision was made. One thing is for sure...this thing is still going down! We’ll be in touch soon to let you know the plan. We love you all and couldn’t be more grateful for your love and support. Gam was born on September 17, 1993 (to Mr. Jakchai and Mrs. Watsana Pratoomwieng) in Korat, Thailand. As a little girl, Gam enjoyed playing badminton and soccer, Gam also enjoyed studying English language... little did she know it would become her primary language. Gam’s sociable personality naturally led her to study Tourism Management at Burapha university. Upon graduation, Gam helped her uncle start up and run Chapayom by Game&Gam, a local Bubble Tea shop in her hometown. She also worked as a Guest Service Agent at Le Monte Hotel Khao Yai. In September 2018, Gam came to America to visit her aunt, Oi in State College, PA. As fate would have it, Gam met Ryan and the rest is their story!

Ryan was born in State College, PA and raised by his parents Mr. Bruce and Mrs. Kym Burke along with his sister Mrs. Callie Krispin. Ryan knew at a very young age that his career would be in State College at One on One. Ryan completed his undergrad in 2013 from Penn State and has become a partner at One on One along with his mom and dad. As fate would have it, Ryan found Gam in State College while she was visiting her aunt, and he knew from day one that she was the girl for him, and the rest is their story!
