Our love story began in high school, where we met through a mutual friend. At first, we were just two friends hanging out, skipping class to go to the mall or grabbing a bite at Subway. It was the end of the 2023 school year, and as we spent more time together, talking and sharing moments, something deeper started to grow between us. Two months later, I finally asked her out, and that’s when everything changed. As we started our senior year, our bond grew stronger, and we were more in love than ever. But what made our relationship special wasn’t just how much we started to feel for each other; it was how God began working in both of our lives. Jesus entered our hearts, reshaping us, removing the old habits, and guiding us toward a purer, healthier relationship. We had to walk through those challenging moments to understand His love, and through that process, our relationship was transformed. Together, we didn’t want to follow the typical path. Instead of believing we were "too young" and wanting to "live life" first like everyone else said we should, we chose to build our lives together under God’s principles. We knew that what mattered was not the opinions of others but the foundation we were creating together. We knew that the only one who can speed things up in life, as well as slow them down, is God. Only he knows the right and most perfect plan for us. After many conversations about our future, on August 17th, when Gaby least expected it, I got down on one knee and asked, “Would you like to spend the rest of your life with me?” At that moment, everything came full circle. We had grown together in faith and love, choosing to walk the path God laid out for us, no matter how different it might seem to others. Our love was never about following the norm—it was about following Him, and in that, we found our forever.
