Travel

Travel Note

Lottis Creek Campground

Our celebration will be held at Lottis Creek Campground Group Site, about 50 minutes east of Gunnison, CO up Highway 742 toward Taylor Resevoir. It is a scenic drive through a canyon that gets progressively more beautiful - and progressively worse for cell service. Pro-tip: grab a CO atlas or download the directions to the campsite ahead of time unless you enjoy navigating by vibes. For specific details on travel, please refer back to our email - the subject of the email is "You've Been Selected - Save the Date!" If you have additional questions, please reach out to the bride or groom!

Lodging

We've reserved the group campsite from September 11-13 for anyone who wants the full wedding-weekend camping experience. If camping isn't for you, there are several cozy lodging options nearby in Taylor Park, Almont, and Gunnison. Just be sure to book your room early as hunting season starts in September and the Gunnison National Forest is a popular location! For specific details on alternate options, please refer back to our email with lodging information - the subject of the email is "You've Been Selected - Save the Date!"

FAQs

We've attempted to answer most of the important questions in our email - like what to wear, and why chairs are a critical component of the weekend. Still have questions? Just ask! We're happy to help, clarify, or talk you through what supplies you may need. We are planning to bring along additional gear, so let us know if there is something specific that you have in mind - we might have an extra!

Things To Do

Taylor Park is basically an outdoor playground. The reservoir and river are famous for blue-ribbon fly fishing! There are beautiful hiking trails throughout the canyon - including one right from our campground that wanders along Lottis Creek for over 14 miles. If hiking boots aren't thrilling enough, the Taylor Park Trading Post rents 4-wheelers for any adrenaline-junkies.

Registry

We're fortunate enough to already have a home full of the essentials - thanks in large part to Kim, who has worked through blood, sweat, and tears to provide for this family. Because of this, we've opted to skip a traditional registry. If you feel inclined to give a gift, a contribution to our honeymoon fund would help send us on our first adventure as a married couple!

When RSVPing, please let us know if: - you intend to camp - you will attend the Ceremony and Reception - you will attend the Post-Wedding Breakfast
