Travel

Flight

Airports

Seattle-Tacoma Airport (SEA) [National Travelers Recommended] 60-90 Min to Venue SEA is a full-access, large airport and will have a high number of available direct flights, but it is less convenient to reach the venue. For those interested in longer stays and exploring the greater Seattle area, this airport is recommended for its centralized location. --- Paine Airfield (PAE) [Local Travelers Recommended] 45-60 Min to Venue PAE is an easy, municipal airport with only two terminals, but provides limited direct flights from major cities. Paine is more convenient to reach the venue. Recommend for those flying from west coast cities (i.e. San Francisco or LA).

Hotel

Accommodations

Best Western Monroe, WA [Recommended] The closest top hotel is Best Western Sky Valley Inn at 19233 US-2, Monroe, WA (15 minutes from the venue). Unfortunately, hotel room blocks are not available in the area due to the summer 2026 World Cup, recommend booking as soon as your attendance is confirmed. --- Evergreen Inn & Suites [Back Up] For those not able to book at the Best Western, Evergreen Inn & Suites is a backup hotel across the street. Recommend booking as a back up option if the Best Western is full at 19103 US-2, Monroe, WA 98272 --- [Marriott/Hilton/Other] For those interested in longer stays and driving to and from the venue, other main options are a 30-minute drive in Woodinville, WA. Only recommend for those driving a rental car, as Ubers are difficult from the venue.

Things To Do

Mount Rainier National Park

Mount Rainier National Park

39000 State Route 706 E, Ashford, WA 98304

A MUST SEE! During our very first visit to Seattle, we visited Mount Rainier and fell in love so much it made us want to move here. Rainier is the tallest stratovolcano in the lower 48 states at 14,410 feet! The national park is beautiful, filled with multiple waterfalls, a variety of hiking trails, & scenic views. We recommend a full day, as Mount Rainier is about 2.5 hours drive from Seattle and the venue. Reservations may be required in advance.

San Juan Islands & Whale Watching

San Juan Islands & Whale Watching

Puget Sound & San Juan Islands, WA

There are over 30 different locations to see whales, many from boats and ferries that leave both Pikes Market in downtown Seattle and Whidbey Island. In April 2025, Brad and I saw both orca whales and gray whales in the Puget Sound and San Juan Islands! We recommend a full day, as most boat and ferries take about 4-6 hour trips. Whale Watching tickets are required to be booked in advance.

Pike Place Market

Pike Place Market

85 Pike St, Seattle, WA 98101

You cannot visit Seattle, WA without going to the historic Pike Place Market considered by many to be the "Soul of Seattle". Home to the first Starbucks, world famous fish-throwing seafood vendors, and the original farmers market, there is something for everyone at Pike Place. We recommend 2 hours at Pikes Place for food, drinks, and walking. Pair with the Space Needle if possible, they are next to one another!

Space Needle

Space Needle

400 Broad Street, Seattle, WA 98109

Elevated 605 feet above Seattle Downtown, the Space Needle is an observation tower and dedicated local Seattle landmark. From the Olympic National Park, Cascade Mountains, Mount Rainier, Mount Baker, and various islands in the Puget Sound. We recommend 2 hours for the Space Needle if you are interested in dining at the observatory. Reservations are required in advance. Pair with Pikes Place if possible, they are next to one another!

Olympic National Park

Olympic National Park

3002 Mount Angeles Road, Port Angeles, WA 98362

For our friends and family taking 3-5+ additional days to explore Washington, we cannot say enough about Olympic National Park (where we got engaged!) With over a million acres of mountains, rainforests, beaches, and waterfalls, Olympic is home to some of the most stunning views of Washington. We recommend taking over 3 or more days to explore, as the park takes many hours to drive from area to area. If you have extra time, we highly recommend this one!

Woodinville Wine Tour

Woodinville Wine Tour

14111 NE 145th Street, Woodinville, WA 98072

With over 130 wineries and tasting rooms, Woodinville is less than 30 minutes from the wedding venue. Our very favorite winery is St Michelle Chateau and has a beautiful castle building on the property. Take a wine tour tasting of some top reds and whites giving Napa some competition. We recommend taking 2-3 hours depending on how many different wineries you would like to visit!

Snoqualmie Falls

Snoqualmie Falls

6501 Railroad Ave, Snoqualmie, WA 98065

Snoqualmie Falls is one of Washington state’s most popular scenic attractions. At the falls, you will find a two-acre park, gift shop, observation deck, the Salish Lodge and the famous 270 foot waterfall. The upper observation and lower observation decks are open every day of the year! We recommend spending about 1-2 hours at the falls. It is a great option for those wanting to see Washington's beauty - with or without a hike. The Falls can be seen with a short walk from the road, but can be seen closer up with a 1-2 mile hike.
