Like every modern romance, this one started with a silly lil app and some wifi access. There was a simple prompt on Ana's profile: "Tell me about how Jesus changed your life." Nick's first move was to initiate the conversation based off of that prompt. It was a pretty convincing opener, only reinforced by the next few weeks of early conversations as they got to know each other. Their first date was at a local coffee shop, where Ana sat across from this guy with the coolest tattoos, a water bottle sticker collection that rivaled her own, and his Tevas with socks. For Ana, it was a no-brainer from that moment on; Nick's story about encountering the Lord was nothing short of miraculous, and his character was proven in his commitment to serving his church. Beyond countless common interests, the most important thing was their common foundation: the transforming story of the Gospel in their lives. The past two years have been so much more than we could ever ask for, and a gift from our Lord. There's a whole lifetime ahead to keep on growing together towards the grace we have been given.
