Unwind at the Silo Bar, built from a true grain silo, and relax on a barstool or one of their many hammocks. The draft list changes weekly, and karaoke and live music is hosted often. Be sure to head down to the end of Vendor Row and enjoy seasonal nightlife at Tryon Resort!
The Eunice Waymon Nina Simone Memorial Project (NSP) exists to honor the remarkable life and legacy of the Tryon native, who achieved international recognition for her unique talent and her formidable contribution to the musical arts. You can visit Nina Simone’s childhood home and birthplace, which was saved from destruction by a group of artists in 2017 and designated as a historical landmark only two years later. Today this 3-room clapboard house remains in use as a museum, honoring Nina’s legacy by frequently hosting artist residencies and performances! A mural of Nina Simone was painted on the side of a Marathon gas station wall in Tryon as part of the North Carolina Musician Murals Project, which serves to tribute the renowned musician and civil rights activists of NC. The artist behind the mural is Scott Nurkin.
