FAQs

Question

What time should I arrive to the ceremony?

Answer

We kindly ask that you arrive between 12:30 PM and 12:45 PM as the mass will begin promptly at 1:00 PM.

Question

How long will the ceremony last?

Answer

The wedding Mass is expected to last approximately 1 hour.

Question

What should I know about attending a Catholic mass?

Answer

Our wedding ceremony will take place during a traditional Catholic Mass. If you are not Catholic or have never attended a Mass before, please don't worry. The ceremony will include prayers, readings from Scripture, a homily, the exchange of vows, and Holy Communion. You are welcome to participate as much or as little as you feel comfortable. During the Mass, guests may be invited to stand, sit, or kneel at various times; feel free to follow along with those around you. Please note that Communion is reserved for practicing Catholics.

Question

Do I Need to Wear a Head Covering or Follow Any Special Church Dress Requirements?

Answer

No. Guests are not required to wear a veil, head covering, or any other special religious attire to attend our wedding Mass. We simply ask that guests follow our requested dress code of semi-formal black attire. Beyond that, we want everyone to feel comfortable and welcome.

Question

What Is Communion and Should I Participate?

Answer

During the Catholic Mass, there will be a portion of the ceremony called Holy Communion. At this time, the priest will bless and distribute the Eucharist (consecrated bread and wine). If you are not Catholic, you are welcome to remain seated in the pew. There is no expectation that all guests participate, and many wedding guests choose to remain seated.

Question

Can I take photos during the ceremony?

Answer

We kindly ask guests to remain present during the ceremony and leave photography to our professional photographer.

Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

Semi-Formal Attire. We are embracing a timeless black and ivory wedding aesthetic and kindly invite our guests to wear black attire.

Question

Do I have to wear all black?

Answer

While we kindly request black attire to help create the atmosphere we have envisioned, we understand if you need to work with what you have. Your presence is what matters most to us.

Question

Can I bring a plus one?

Answer

Due to venue capacity, only those specifically listed on the invitation are invited to attend.

Question

Will there be an open bar?

Answer

HELL YEAH.

Question

Where should I park?

Answer

The church has a spacious parking lot. The venue will be valet parking.
