Following private vows, we're celebrating with friends at our beloved Lake Merritt! Quaker-style, it'll be a potluck, so please bring something to share (food, drinks, etc). We'll have some onigiri for you too :) Fox is vegan, and we have loved ones who are gluten-free! Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?
Answer
Parking in Oakland can be a bit tricky! We don't have reserved spaces, but there is parking available in the area. There is also convenient public transit available, with our venues a short 20-minute walk away from the nearest BART station.

Is there a dress code?
Answer
We would like everyone to feel comfortable and at their best! Quaker ceremonies are generally on the simpler side, but please dress to celebrate! This will be a PHONE-FREE wedding! We will have a photographer to document the day. We want to be present with you <3

Do you have any hotel recommendations?
Answer
Our wedding events are located at a few spots around Lake Merritt—each approximately a 15-20 minute walk from the nearest BART stations (Lake Merritt, 12th St, or 19th St). Guests can find a hotel in Oakland or elsewhere in the beautiful Bay Area. Athena's parents often stay in the Oakland Marriott City Center when visiting, due to its protected parking and centralized Downtown Oakland location.
