The ceremony and reception will take place outdoors at the home of Fiona's aunt and uncle, Connie and Bill, north of Vernonia, OR, which is one hour outside of Portland. This is a rural location out of town, and cell reception is spotty to non-existent. There is parking on-site, but it is somewhat limited so please carpool if you can. Uber and Lyft aren't available so please plan to have a safe ride home. For reference, the nearest grocery store is about a 20 minute drive away.
We encourage cocktail/semi-formal attire. Think "garden party formal" - suits or dress slacks with a collared shirt and optional tie, and cocktail dresses or formal summer dresses/jumpsuits. Keep in mind our wedding is entirely outside and on grass, so please wear appropriate shoes.
If you're coming from out of town, we recommend staying in Portland (see our 'Things to Do' for our favorite spots and neighborhoods). Our wedding is in Vernonia, which is about an hour outside of Portland. There are some inns and vacation rentals nearby, which could be a great option if you don't want as long of a drive home that evening, though many will choose to stay in Portland the whole time. Please note that Uber and Lyft are not options from the venue, so plan a safe ride home wherever you stay.
Unfortunately, we are not able to accommodate a plus one for every guest. Unless a guest is listed on your invite, a plus one will not be included with your invitation.
The ceremony will be personal camera and phone-free, but take all the photos you'd like before and after.
We will be serving light refreshments after the ceremony. Dinner will be served at our reception and includes options that are vegetarian, pescatarian, vegan, and gluten free. If you have a dietary restriction, please let us know when you RSVP.
No, dogs are not welcome at the ceremony or reception.
The ceremony will begin promptly at 3:30. With the remote location, we encourage people to arrive to the venue any time after 2:30. We ask that you arrive no later than 3:00 to make time for parking and getting settled.
Please check our 'registry' section here on our website.
