Semi-Formal: Tuxes and gowns are welcome, and so are suits and cocktail dresses. Wear what you feel good in! The venue is a grassy field so be mindful of your shoes. Virginia in September can be toasty and the event is mostly outside. Camp Albemarle is within a shady valley bordered by a small river. We'll be under a pavilion & tent, plus there is an air conditioned mess hall nearby.
We are not having a traditional ceremony, but we do plan to have a short and sweet exchange of rings and readings! Dinner and dancing will follow.

If you are staying at the Camp, or if you aren't, we will have breakfast available Sunday morning in the lodge. Fishing, swimming, and running in the grass are optional activities.
Travel
Camp Albemarle is a quick 20 minute drive from downtown Charlottesville, where there are lots of great options to stay. Parking at the venue is limited so please plan to carpool or park at the school near the camp - a Shuttle will be provided from the parking lot to the camp.
Lodging
The campground can sleep 80 in two separate bunk houses with two separate bathhouses for showering, sinks, and restrooms at no cost. Think sweaty summer camp- not glamping! You are also welcome to pitch your own tent or hammock. Please let us know if you plan to stay overnight at the Camp Friday, Saturday, or both when you RSVP.
If you would prefer not to rough it in a cabin or tent at Camp Albemarle, please be aware that UVA has a home game the weekend of our wedding, and hotel options are limited. If you need help finding an AirBnB or a hotel, we are HAPPY to help and have already reserved some of the AirBnBs closest to the wedding venue anticipating that others may need places to stay. Registry
Having you all at our wedding is the best gift, but if you are still feeling gifty ... Finn and I plan to live our lives in the outdoors as much as possible. Right now we are living and farming on land with my parents, but we want to invest in our own big space for farming and raising kids - both human and goat.
