Classic story of swiping right on each other! Our first meeting was at the former Old Town Starbucks in Tacoma. We chatted on a 5 mile walk along the waterfront and the rest is history. Our first official date was 5 days later when Trevor took us to an event where we got to meet Mariner players, so that pretty much sealed the deal 😆
We were visiting upstate New York last summer for a family reunion and to take my grandma’s ashes home. My family had visited Boldt Castle on one of our visits many years ago, and we always looked forward to going back. Trevor didn’t have an exact plan but knew he was going to propose on this trip. When we got to Boldt Castle, he decided it was the perfect place. As we were getting ready to leave, Trevor decided he wanted to go back and take pictures near a fountain we had already passed. At this point I was annoyed he didn’t take the pictures earlier, so I headed back to the location feeling a little crabby. When we got done taking the pictures, I tried to leave, and Trevor asked if we could get one more, and then got down on his knee. I felt like a jerk and was definitely caught off guard! It was such a beautiful day(and also happened to be my late grandpa’s birthday) in an area that is so special to my family. Then we got to celebrate that night at the Dan and Shay concert 😀
