Red Thread of FateRed Thread of Fate
We are big believers in the story of the red thread of fate, a belief found in Chinese mythology - It is commonly thought of as an invisible red cord around the finger of those that are destined to meet one another as they are "their one true love". From going to the same SAT class to Farhan walking into Anusha's dad's dollar store (and subsequently getting kicked out for shaking the coin dozer machine) to Farhan appearing in the background of a picture of Anusha with her family in 2018, the thread of fate has tied them together.

The mehndi, or henna, ceremony is an ancient South Asian tradition of applying mehndi paste tattoos to symbolize good luck and prosperity. We will have mehndi artists available to apply mehndi tattoos to the hands of all guests.

The pithi, or haldi, ceremony entails applying turmeric paste to the bride and groom to symbolize purification and blessings for a happy marriage. The groom's "dirty pithi" will take place immediately following the pithi ceremony.

The Sound at Cypress Waters: The Sound is a mixed use development with plenty of parking. There are two lots, two parking garages and plenty more parking within a two-block radius. The Orchard and Firefly Gardens: There is ample on-site parking at both of these venues.

We are blessed to have most everything we need to start our lives together, just missing a thing or two. We are registered at William Sonoma and Target if you wish to give us a physical gift. We request that you do not bring any boxed gifts to the wedding.
