It Truly Was Love At First Sight

#FallinforFowler

It started with a simple “Ooh, who is that? Never seen him before.” Then it turned into a quiet prayer: “God, whoever that man is, I want to see him again.” Curiosity kicked in, and I asked someone nearby, “How old is he?” Now, if you're reading this, you already know how the story ends. But here's the funny part: I genuinely just wanted to know his age nothing more 😏. Then they hit me with, “He’s like 40.” And just like that… I moved right along with my life. Later that day, the same person came back to me and said, “Oh wait, I was wrong he’s much younger. And… I got his number for you.” Now let’s be clear I never asked for his number, but deep down, I’m so glad they got it anyway. Shoutout to them for the assist! I wish I could say I texted Eric immediately, but the truth is, I couldn’t. I needed to pray first and I was nervous. It actually took me two whole weeks to finally reach out. But when I did? He replied instantly. It felt like he had been waiting. We scheduled a phone call and, in true gentleman fashion, he was prompt. He called me… and I politely declined. 😅 I had just gotten home from work and needed a moment to breathe, reset, and yep, pray again. I wasn’t joining that call without the Holy Spirit! Once I was ready, we finally talked. And y’all we talked about everything. I wasn’t even the one asking all the questions; I felt like I was being interviewed! But when the call ended, I remember smiling from ear to ear because I knew: God did this. He literally sent me my spouse. I could go on and on about how it all unfolded, but I’ll stop here. If you want to hear the rest, just ask me at the wedding 😜. I truly believe our connection was divinely orchestrated. We are two imperfect people that God chose to make one and we’re so grateful to celebrate this love with each of you.
