Jesse and Nick met at work when Jesse started her first day in the laboratory. Jesse immediately called her mom that night to say she met a "cute guy" at work. Nick knew he liked her as well, but in typical guy fashion, waited a couple years to make his move. Their first date was at a bar called Historians on South Broadway, and from the way everything and everyone around them started to fade, they knew it was the start of a true love. (Either that or it was the Old-Fashioneds).

Since then, some of their milestones include finishing graduate school, landing new jobs, buying (and flipping) their first home together, and adopting their wonderful dog/son Charlie. Jesse and Nick will be having an intimate matrimony with immediate family in Milwaukee, Wisconsin in late June.
