June 22, 2025 will be our 7 year anniversary! We met and began dating in 2018, one day we started talking and just never stopped...Fate! We dated long distance for the first 3 years of our relationship while Fabian was stationed at Ft Bragg in North Carolina, which we credit for our communication skills ;). During that time we only saw each other twice a year for two week periods, but I was able to make a couple additional trips to North Carolina as well. At the start of 2019 we'd been dating long distance for about 6 months and we decided to purchase a nice leather bound journal that we could write letters for each other in and pass back and forth each time we saw each other. The journal has love letters, photos, drawings and paintings, lists, song lyrics, poems, pressed flowers, and more. In 2021 Fabian got out of the army and we roadtripped from North Carolina all the way home to Colorado Springs and have been living here ever since. Since then we've used the journal to document weekends away, trips out of town, mementos, and general life updates. On November 28, 2023 at home in our kitchen Fabian gave me a beautiful bouquet of flowers, with our journal lying open next to the vase with an entry that read "Tuesday Nov 28, 2023 - The day I asked you to Marry me -". I turned around and he was on one knee... I said Yes! In 2024 we spent 3 months in New Zealand and had the best time! Now we are back home in Colorado Springs and looking forward to marrying each other and hopefully moving into a home of our own!
