We met on a Friday night during Memorial Day weekend at Progress Brewery in El Monte. My cousin Meli had invited me out, and it was my first time visiting a brewery. As soon as I walked in, I noticed James with his friend. We kept exchanging glances until, finally, he approached our table with a pastrami pizza and asked if he could join us. One thing led to another, and by the end of the night, he asked for my number. And the rest, as they say, is history!
