Introduced by mutual friends, we met during the COVID-19 pandemic. Though we were both born and raised in Connecticut (Evan in Southington and Jane in Tariffville), we ended up going to college in different countries. In March 2020, we were both juniors in college, and when the world shut down, we both went home to quarantine with our families. We started to get to know each other over Zoom calls and virtual game nights, long hikes, and trips to the beach. When it was time to go back to school, we knew we could make long distance work even though Evan was living in Storrs, Connecticut, and Jane was living in Montreal, Canada. Our time apart flew by, and when we graduated in 2021, we both received job offers in Rhode Island and decided to move into a beautiful apartment in Newport together. We spent our free time walking along First Beach, strolling down Thames Street, and enjoying the Cliff Walk before we decided we both wanted to pursue graduate education. Cue our move to Boston! In 2022, we took the leap together and both decided to go to Northeastern University for grad school. Our days were filled with trips on the commuter rail together, long days in the library, and lots of studying and laughter. After graduating from Northeastern (Evan with his Masters in Bioengineering and Jane with her law degree), we found our way back to Newport, Rhode Island, where Evan got down on one knee and proposed on First Beach. We're so excited to continue the life we've built together, and we hope to have you there as we celebrate a future filled with love.
