Aly and Etianna’s story began at the Pentagon Mall in Arlington, VA. From the moment they met, Etianna was drawn to Aly’s accent and soon discovered that, like her, he was Haitian American and raised in South Florida. Their shared cultural connection sparked an instant bond and set the foundation for something truly special. For their very first date, Aly took Etianna to the movies to see a Marvel film, her favorite. Even though he wasn’t the biggest fan, Aly gave it his all, determined to follow along so they could share the experience together. From that day on, Aly never stopped showing his heart. He surprised Etianna with flowers and thoughtful gifts each time they met, always treating her with the utmost kindness and respect, which she reciprocated. Their love grew deeper through both joyful and difficult times. When Etianna experienced a major loss, Aly stood firmly by her side, supporting her with unwavering love. One night, in a quiet moment together, Aly told her that he believed he had found his wife. Just weeks later, he asked Etianna to marry him and with a joyful “yes,” their forever began.
My name is Aly Cadet, and I was raised in West Palm Beach, Florida, where I first discovered my love for soccer. That passion carried me to Wesleyan University in North Carolina, where I played collegiate soccer while earning a B.S. in Criminal Justice and Computer Science. After graduation, I proudly enlisted in the military. Later on, I moved to the Washington, D.C. area to begin a career in government service, and during that time, I completed a Master’s in Criminal Justice at Florida State University. Beyond my professional life, I enjoy staying active and outdoors. Whether it’s playing soccer or golf, going for a run, or exploring new activities. I also find fulfillment in reading and continually seeking ways to challenge myself both mentally and physically.
My name is Etianna Etienne, and I was raised in North Miami, Florida. After graduating from Miami Central Senior High, I went on to earn a B.S. in Business from the University of Florida and pledged Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc. After graduating I began my career as a Logistics Manager, where I gained nearly four years of experience in leadership and operations before following a new calling in healthcare. Transitioning into nursing opened my eyes to the profound impact of caring for others, and it was during this time that I discovered my true passion for medicine. I am now a registered nurse at a Washington DC hospital and a premedical student, actively preparing for the next step of becoming a physician. Alongside my studies, I serve as an American Red Cross Blood Ambassador, a Medical Reserve Corps Volunteer, and a Volunteer Nurse at Culmore Clinic where I contribute to my community through service and advocacy. Outside of academics and healthcare, I enjoy spending time in nature, watching Marvel and DC films, and traveling with friends and family.
