FAQs

Question

Do I need a passport to travel to Costa Rica?

Answer

Yes. Please be mindful that the US Department of State estimates it could take up to 13 weeks to renew your passport.

Question

Do I have to stay at the resort where the wedding is taking place?

Answer

Yes.

Question

When should I RSVP and book my room?

Answer

Our official room block is full. If your plans have changed and you'd like to celebrate with us in December, please reach out to our wedding coordinator, Ashlee Wills (awills@destinationweddings.com) for assistance. Let McKayla or Joey know as well - we can help nudge!

Question

Will the ceremony and/or reception be taking place indoors or outdoors?

Answer

Our ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception will take place outdoors.

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

The vibe is "Tropical Glam." But actually, please wear cocktail attire to our ceremony and reception. This might mean a suit or long-sleeve button-up shirt and tie, or a midi or maxi dress. We both thought this article was helpful for understanding how wedding dress codes may translate to a beach wedding! https://www.brides.com/beach-wedding-attire-4842339?utm_source=emailshare&utm_medium=social&utm_campaign=shareurlbuttons

Question

Can I bring my kids?

Answer

A limited number of children in our families have been invited. Otherwise, please leave your children at home.

Question

What will the weather be like?

Answer

Typically, December in Costa Rica is warm and dry. However, we can't control the weather! Please keep an eye on the forecast as our wedding date approaches.

Question

I have more questions...
