Hotel
The traditional type of hotel in Marrakesh is known as a Riad. You can go on any travel website to book a Riad. They are sprinkled all throughout the city and throughout the Medina. If staying in a Riad, we suggest staying in the Medina.

This is a website to book boutique hotels and Riad's in Marrakesh.
Wedding party coming soon!
If you fancy a little bit of history and culture, you can book a half day tour :-)
The common English spelling is "Marrakesh", although "Marrakech" (the French spelling) is also widely used.
Besides the native Arabic tongue, French and English are commonly used by most vendors, staff, restaurants, etc.
The currency is Moroccan Dirhams (MAD). We recommend bringing cash from your home country and exchanging the cash in Marrakesh. There are Currency Exchanges sprinkled all through the city and in the Medina.
Taxis: It is easy to hail a taxi from the street. Before you get in the taxi, make sure the driver is using the meter to calculate your fare. App: New app called inDrive. We have not personally used it as company recently started. However it was abundantly advertised. Walk: Marrakesh is a safe place to walk around, just be mindful as you always would when walking around. During the day can be hot, make sure to always have bottled water (available everywhere for purchase). The evenings can be chilly, so bring a light jacket.
We have provided a few suggestions for hotels. However, you can stay just about anywhere in the city. You can book directly through the hotel website or a travel website such as booking.com, expedia.com, hotels.com, kayak.com, i-escape.com (boutique riads), etc. The options are endless.
