We met in high school Honor Math but didn’t really talk until sophomore year of seminary. I asked him to prom after being told he’d say yes—and honestly, I just really wanted to go. (Important detail: it was Mormon prom, so it was more of a “go with friends in your stake” situation.) Nothing really happened after that… until later that year when we randomly started texting. We didn’t date in high school—I swear. But we did email while he was on his mission (he later told me those emails were the highlight of his week 🥹).
