There are only a handful of moments in a life when everyone who loves you is gathered in one place. When you are born, they come - though you will never remember it. When you are gone, they come again - though you will never see it. A wedding is the rare exception. It is the one moment lived fully and consciously, not in farewell, but in joy, where the people who shaped you, and the life you are choosing, briefly exist in the same room.
