We followed each on social media for some time before meeting in person. The first time we met, we were at the Circuit Assembly of Jehovah’s Witnesses in late 2017, Larry’s mom was baptized that day too actually. Then on, we would only see one another either at the assemblies, conventions, once at the same memorial, and at a few gatherings. We would still keep in touch here and there over snapchat but we always remained platonic friends, never flirted or anything. Fast forward to Sept 2022, we saw one another in person for the first time in years at a Basketball Tournament in Cincinnati. We caught up a bit, and hung together with family and friends. We realized how much of a good time we had that day and agreed to hang out sometime back home because we never really have before Cincinnati. Once that happened, we’ve been inseparable ever since. Even though, we remained friends the first month or so before actually beginning a courtship, we built a strong bond and would communicate everyday to get to know one another. In November, our courtship was official by a girlfriend proposal. We have great times together, we laugh together, we empathize together, we share a bond that we have both never experienced the way that we share it with one another. On June 18, 2023.. We became closer than we ever imagined. Our engagement had the be the most emotional and meaningful days of both of our lives after being baptized. Another “We Made It” moment. We never thought WE would be together but we’re happy it IS us. “Things never looked clearer, Peace within never felt nearer” “At last…the load is so light.”
