How We Met

First Come Bikes - Then Comes Marriage

Eric met Samantia at World of Wheels. She was there as a customer to pick up her bike from the repair shop. Eric offered her help and saw that she was wearing VANS sneakers. It made him think of a product he had, so he made a joke about some "brake shoes" that are made by VANS that actually look like VANS tennis shoes. They are all white and it turns out Eric and Samantia both LOVE all white sneakers. Eric immediately wanted to ask her out, but couldn't work up the courage to do it. So he did what any nervous man would do and made up some reason why her bike wasn't ready. Eric didn't let her take her bicycle home that day even though the repair was actually complete. He needed a way for her to come back to the store so that he could ask her out (mind you Sam was very disappointed Eric didn't ask her out during their first encounter). A few days later Samantia returned to pick up her bike, and he made sure that her bike repair was done EXTRA well. He mustered up the courage and asked her out to coffee. Samantia replied with a calm "sure" while inside she was beaming with excitement. "When we initially started talking we had only met briefly a few times, and then Eric called me on my phone and we ended up talking on the phone. We talked on the phone for 5+ hours, on two occasions without barely spending any in person time together. We've only known each other for 4 months and by the time we get married it will be 5 months. Both of us knew when we met each other that we were meant to spend the rest of our lives together. We describe it as a familiar feeling that is like being home. Please join us as we declare our public commitment to each other before you and before God. We are so excited to have you attend!" - Samantia
